As I mentioned, I too have been to Hebron, and I imagine it`s all in the purpose: Which group of "tourists" were you walking with? I`m not accusing, but am curiuos: was it something along the lines of PeaceNow, of whom "antagonistic toward Jews" is a very mild description? If such were the case, it is quite understandable that Palestinians would befriend you, while a Jewish woman would express her disapproval. I visited as an individual looking to spend time at the Cave of Mahpela, nothing more. The people I met were intelligent and soft-spoken, with a deep love of the land and of their fellow man. Of course there were feelings of resentment toward those who try to expel them, but they were not consumed with hatred. I will not claim there aren`t individuals who have gone to extremes, but 1) they are individuals 2)their actions, while not to be condoned, stem from a justifiable anger As for the videos, it is too easy, too easy, to manipulate footage to serve a specific purpose |
