Well, actually, "Response," I`ve been in Hebron and had a 60+ year old red-headed woman curse at me and a settler youth throw rocks at me just for walking down Shuhada Street with a group of tourist. In contrast, the Palestinians gave me tea, food and a place to sleep.

While I visited Hebron, I saw videotapes of settlers setting fire to 100-year-old Palestinian olive trees while the fire crew lean nearby watching them burn. They continued watching until they realized they were being videotaped. Only then did the fire crew straighten up and put water on the grove. I saw videotape of adult male settlers throwing some kind of smoke bombs into the second floor of a Palestinian home, then jump and celebrate like a bunch of teenage gang members. I saw settler mothers encouraging their sons to throw rocks and curse at Palestinian children.

I would classify the settlers as extremely violent, contentious and not in the least interested in shalom. In fact, I`d say they`re twisted and sick.
