| Unfortunately, India did not support Israel before 1990s because of politics. The INC (Indian National Congress) and Communists in India wanted Muslims votes. So they always talked about the Palestine first to appease the Muslims in India. Muslims always hated Israel wherever they are. Similarly, the Christians in India who always put seeds of hatred against the Jews blaming `all the Jews in general` for what happened to Jesus. With the help of Communists, Christians (mostly from the state of Kerala, who are Roman Catholics) distorted the Indian history, when it got independence and gave wrong information on Jews. But the growing number of Hindus, who are not only educated but also internet savvy, are started to find the real facts and many of them now want to have good relations with Israel. |
