Israel signed peace treaties with both Jordan and Egypt yet we do not feel at peace and they certainly are not friendly.
Why should they sign a similar agreement with Suria to enjoy the same kind of non-peace?
I don`t think so. Also if you really are from Beit Jala surely most of your friends in the building trade will tell you how they preferred it when the Israelis were there coz they could all work.
I used to work for Hilti in Wael`s shop there and everyone I used to speak to and have coffee with there used to say the same thing, get rid of the extremists and we can live happily together. I am still in touch with many of my palestinian friends and they really really do not want to fight anymore |
