| Olmert can play with his fantasy graphs all he wants. But even Bush, no great strategic visionary, sees the giveaway as the height of foolishness. Israel has both historic and legal rights to the Golan. FYI Bryan, neither UNSC 224 nor 338 mandate the return of all territories captured in 1967. It is not "Israel" that seeks to give Syria the Golan for nothing. It is Olmert. And Netanyahu - the likely next PM - and Likud have indicated they will not recognize any such commitments by Olmert. |
