President Bush wants Israel to ignore Syria. However, the situation is widening. Iran, Lebanon and Syria can no longer be dealt with as separate issues.
Iran is arming Lebanon, Syria and Lebanon sre on better terms. The Free Gaza movement has started what may prove to be a major effort by more Arabic speaking nations than just Libya. The possibility is that Israel may soon face a number of nations with a common purpose.
Pressure is mounting for the Saudi Initiative. Before long, Israel will have her hands full and may not be able to deal with Syria alone, as Bush desires, but only as one part of a multi-nation effort. |
