First, random acts of violence happen all the time, all over the world. This attack is nothing new.

Second, Israel`s actions have created lots of enemies not only for Israel, but also for Jews all over the world. While Jews around the world have little control over Israel, they are tarred with the same brush, just like I am hated in many parts of the world for the actions of Bush (which I extremely strongly disagree with). It isn`t "right" but that is just how humans are.

Quite frankly, things that are visibly Jewish should assume they will be attacked or should try to become much less visible. Since the problems in the ME will only get worse, it will become more and more important to be less visibly "Jewish."

Because of extreme hatred of Muslims in the US, the Muslim buildings in this part of the US, are unmarked so the Muslims can keep a low profile. The Muslims have every reason to believe that if they are too visible, "crazy" people will attack them.
