Secular versus Observant is not the issue. ANYONE who has `thrown their lot in` and made the huge effort to come and live with the jewish nation in our jewish homeland has made their commitment to a jewish Israel.
Many of us have left not only fairly secure lifestyles where everything is familiar, even government offices and something as mundane as going to the supermarket or post office. We have followed our commitment all the way to our Promised Land and are trying to make our hopes for a thriving vibrant legacy for future generations.
Forget the labels. We are jewish Israelis. We had the courage (or stupidity!) to leave our material comfort zones and get our tushies over here.
Maybe all this bickering is a dose of sour grapes plus a bit of conscience pricking.
