The social groups created by the concept of minyan and kosher killings necessitating that one should live near other Jews created the atmosphere for continuity of the Jewish race in exile. We automatically have what they strived for, living in Israel. We are all so accustomed to living among Jews and in a Jewish world that our thinking is shaped by Jewishness and we don`t need these artificial practices which have become hallowed into religious devotion in order to stay together. "Secularism" is just practical Judaism in Israel.
