The western powers, whom some have accused of selling out to terrorism for not taking seriously the fraudulent accusations towards Syria have shown concern and a degree of unity towards the real problem.
Iran.
Iran is clearly playing games. That the points upon which they are playing games are relatively insignificant ONLY increases the possibility that further investigation is needed.
I am not particularly concerned that ANY announced program of Iran constitutes an IMMEDIATE threat.
What bothers me is that Iran is building a `break-out capability`.
That is the ability to within a year or so of withdrawing from the IAEA and NPT that it could develop primitive nuclear weapons.
Mr. El Baradei needs the support of the world, not in pursuing trash like the US allegation of a Syrian reactor, but in keeping the heat on Iran so that it cannot break out of the NPT without the maximum warning to the world. |
