My inclination is to consider a `mid-size` weapon a crew served one rather than a personal weapon or major system like a tank or Surface to Air missile.
But I can`t say for certain.
I do know where the biggest deficiencies in the Lebanese arsenal are.
They also be the sort of weapon that have been supplied to Hizbollah and used altogether too effectively in 2006.
Anti-tank missiles are a big example. The US wants to supply Lebanon with tanks to put down insurrection, but not capable of defending the nation.
Light AAA is another. This might well include Man Portable Air Defense Systems (shoulder launched SAMs).
Could it include Surface to Surface Missiles?
That is an interesting concept, but Iran seems to have only supplied a few to Hizbollah and suspect that mostly was to test their counter-counter measures against Israeli counter measures. |
