Butchering is an ugly inhumane act but I eat chicken,turkey,beef, and lamb.
They had a kosher butcher`s shop in Boro Park when I lived there-The man took the chicken slit it throat then threw it head first into a funnel -maybe the thing was already dead but I don`t know-that`s my child-hood memory of it.
I watched a t.v. program on public supported t.V. ,it`s 13,in N.Y. about twin orphaned cheetahs raised in a Kenyan animal preserve-I rooted for the cheeta`s when they were able to make their first kill,some kind of deer type animal-the cheetah held it`s baby gazelle still alive and kicking,teeth piercing an eye and throat-I was so proud of that cheetah,as if it was my own-it could potentially survive in the wild now. |
