| I see two problems. First the secular media selectively report what Rabbi Yosef says.Second Israelis, including Israeli Rabbonim, lack the diplomatic finese of a Lord Jakobovits or a Rav Soloveitchik. Rav Shach also seemed to offend all and sundry. A third problem may be Rav Yosef`s age. Perhaps he`s as they say `past it`. His Saturday night `special` is heard around the Sephardi world, and will no doubt inspire Sephardi boys to see their Limudei Chol teachers as donkeys! |
