| ....if there would be no more occupation (or in other words peace with the Arab neighbours), domestic policies would become much more important in Israel than security issues. And the issue of security has divided Israel into a more or less 50% - 50% society, which gives the little "Shas" party much more weight than she actually would deserve. So you see, the "occupation" is playing a much bigger role in Israeli politics/society than you might believe.... |
