| ... honour the pioneering spirit of the Aliyot, and visit Sde Boker, or work on a kibbutz or moshav for a few months? ... Tel Aviv is part of Israel, of course, but it`s not Israel itself! How come so many young American Jews forget the toil and sweat which built the Yishuv and Israel? They seem all too happy to hang about the TA coffee-houses and night-clubs instead. MV |
