With the covert backing of Russia, China, and others, it will take much longer to break the blockade, as you put it, than 36 hours. As it becomes apparant that the US is not able to `hold it`s own` in the area, worries over investment in the US will plummet, allowing (surprise, surprise) Russia, China, and others to purchase (more of) the US at a knock-down price. After they`ve finished investing, of course, the Iranians may find themselves friendless again:-(
