If Jewish people (as individuals) choose to assimilate so be it: this is a basic human right which takes priority over and above any (seeming!!) collective interest such as national preservation. Lets not forget that Herzl and others became Zionists only because assimilation wasn`t an available option, and if it does turn to be one, excellent!!
