No, what you are seeing is that common people are not dumb and are disgusted by the politization of every aspect of Israeli life. When the Supreme Court decides against the basic rule "that possesion is 9/10th of the law" and for political reasons gives the State their holy blessing to evict people from their homes before going thru the full legal process to prove illegal possession, then even those of us who might not like the settlers understand that the deck is stacked up against them. When democracy fails (one side taking control via undemocractic means - ie gaining control of the Supreme Court) when individual rights are taken away, then all is fair.
It is high time that our society stop accepting politization of everything and we go back to basics - we stop discriminating against the weak, we stop forcing our positions on others, etc. |
