It seems extremely unlikely that Iran would launch a nuclear attack on anyone, because it wouldn`t be able to knock out the missiles of so many countries that would respond against it, but Israel will lose a powerful bargaining weapon when the declining fear of its own nuclear weapons no longer give it overwhelming power over its neighbors. Couple this with declining US power and with Asian markets for mideast oil, and Israel may find its position becoming weaker and weaker. Maybe it`s time to make peace, even if it means imprisoning settlers and retreating to the 1967 borders? |
