| I would have to say, in theory, that offering teaching jobs to hi-tech personnel seems like an optimal solution to lay-offs. However, I cannot fathom that the treasury will be willing to pay more than a quarter of the salary that the person was previously making in Hi-tech. If some way was found to pay these new teachers more realistic salaries, I highly doubt that the Histadrut would be willing to have these "new teachers" break existing agreements. |
