| Having done my Ph. D. dissertation on conditions promoting improved Arab-Jewish communication and conflict management, I approached the people at Peace Players Int`l to offer them my expertise and the findings of my research. They were not interested. Their efforts are a good first step, but without bringing in the social sciences, it is - in the end - a lot of hype. Prof Gabi Salomon is right in noting that the program as currently structured fails to produce long-term outcomes. Like too many organzations, their "turf" is more precious than the real work.
