The Iraq war served Israels interest. It was counter to American interests. It is well known now that the Bush administration did not have justification to start this war, and, in fact, fabricated evidence to give themselves cause. Israel would now like America to attack Iran. Although Israel attempts to make the case that this is in the interest of the region and the world, nobody else in the world wants an attack upon Iran except Israel. In the 2006 war, America gave Israel the green light for a protracted bombing of Beruit, although Lebanon was an American ally. This bombing did nothing to further Israels war against Hizbollah. America paid for many of the weapons used by Israel, and, after the war, paid for the cleanup of Lebanon. It is no wonder that America is going broke. Bush has asked Israel to halt west bank expansin and he was ignored. In fact, the Israeli government increased the rate of expansion. Bush said nothing.
