The current oil prices are a de facto the same or even better than the economic pressure the West, Russia and China have been talking about in reference to Iran but unable to agree upon. Now, Iranian leadership already is under a tremendous and ever increasing amount of pressure by doing nothing at all. The right thing to do is to offer Iran something economically positive in exchange for a verifiable freeze of their N-program. This option should be exhausted until other means are considered. So, need to talk but offer a different program.

The way things are going Iran will be approaching an economic collapse fairly quickly and will be forced to do something radical to avoid social unrest. They have very few friends left in the world and would be smart to heed. The latter is not guaranteed given the knuckleheads in power there.
