| Shalit was an IDF soldier on duty in Gaza at the time of his capture. Israel holds 11,000 Palestinians in jail--men, women, minors..many without trial. "None of the inmates set to be freed ahead of Eid al-Adha are aligned with Palestinian militant organizations." Nothing shows Israel`s illegal imprisonment of these people more than the above paragraph. Why were these people in jail then? If any other country in the world did this, America would be all over them with UN sanctions. How many more of the Palestinians imprisoned were also not part of any terrorist organisation, and why did Israel imprison them? Because they can. |
