| One thing we are used to is the revisionism of the Arab propoganda machine. The EU/Israel FTA has no mention of this potential issue and as such it was clear that goods from ALL over Israel were included in the FTA. The EU CANNOT even consider the request for a number of reasons.....first of all the EU/Israel FTA is between them and the PA is not part of the bargaining unit. At this point in time the area in question is a part of Israel whether arabist apologists choose to understand this or not. At some point in the future, when there is an agreed upon settlement we will see changed borders to Israel, but until such time, any border and land claims are pie in the sky. Call it occupied, call it liberated, call it greater Israel....call it whatever you want, but as of 1967 its Israel. |
