I have been living in Israel for almost four years and every time I go to the Misrad Ha Panim they tell me Im not a Jew. (Both parents, four grandparents, eight great grandparents all Jews) I`ve brought then letters and orthodox documents proving my religious status and they still reject it because its not in the computer that way.
During the army I tried to do an official Orthodox conversion and I was told I could not because its not in their records that its necessary. Im in some kind of religious gehinom where the only Jewish state on earth is the only place that does not recognize me as a Jew.
I believe in a Jewish State and Im willing to die for it but I no longer believe there is a place for religion in this state. If I get married it will be in Cyprus just to spite the Min. of Interior and the Orthodox who run it like Mafioso. |
