| I agree with Joshua because a well armed well trained public will be the best deterrent to terrorists The most important aspect is training, training , training. Steinberg`s comments show his total ignorance of the realities as was experienced in Jerusalem recently. The policeman was very short on training. He was issued with the wrong gun, the wrong caliber,the wrong bullets to stop the knife wielding Arab. The policeman shot six bullets, one hit the assailant but didn`t stop him. The Arab then stabbed & killed an innocent passer-bye. Using jacketed ammunition in an urban environment is a strict NO!NO! The ricochet factor is a serious hazzard. So where did the other five bullets go? A 45 with a semi-wadcutter lead only bullet will stop a terrorist 95% of the time with one shot to the torso. It is well known by The Police, & military that the 9mm (38Cal.) will not stop a terrorist with one shot unless it is to the central nervous system. Next post to follow on |
