The Israeli NRA backs "[T]he right to carry a firearm for all law abiding, MILITARY-SERVING Israeli citizens" to strut around with firearms.
Notice the "military-serving" qualifier. Palestinians and non-Jews need not apply. Israeli Spartans, Palestinian helots. The "right" to possess firearms conditioned on race.
But on the other hand, maybe regular Israelis will be able to match the settler extremists for firepower. No more religious whackos in beanies trying to stone secular Jews for violating some Sabbath law. Boom, boom, pretty soon the self-appointed enforcers of Jewish law shut their mouths and know their place. |
