Shalom,

It`s interesting how in the USSR, where Stalin killed off Trotsky (let alone Lenin) people whom were dissidents were labelled `insane`.

In Israel, is it perhaps, due to the commentary I see, considered rational to be an expansionist, and irrational to be a peace person?

Forget about Stalin for a moment, as he was anti-Zionist, but what about Hitler? All I have to say is that expansionism is right wing, and peace is left wing.

By the way, when are Jews in particular going to leave the 20th Century paradigm of Stalin vs. Hitler? It is 2008, Left and Right still exist, but in a different form. Some things, like the right portraying the left as loopy, remain, but some are totally different. Maybe the Stalinist example of labelling one insane for being contrary to the peculiar political view of the State remains, but the world is vastly different in 2008 than it was in 1939. The environmental movement had no reckoning in 1939...what of today??? Wake up it`s 2008, Shalom!
