| The first remark by Emanuel`s father reminded me of someone saying "What am I, chopped liver?" or "Is the Pope Catholic?" or even "Does a bear sh-t in the woods?" Classic Jewish irony (although obviously politically a big mistake). The second remark, I believe, was the father bragging about the son`s new job - he won`t be cleaning floors. More irony. If he`d reversed the order, then it would have been racism. |
