The IDF is well known for openly condemning such acts while silently condoning such behavior off the record, which is why its soldiers feel so embolden to actually film their naziesque behavior. In the past, the IDF`s military court has passed sentences for killing civilians of one hour in jail and a fine of one agora (Penny), so I won`t be surprised by the minor slap on the wrist to come.
Sadly the rapidly declining moral values from the top down within the IDF are merely a reflection of Israeli society`s ethical and moral malaise as a whole, so it will only get worse with every new recruit. |
