Can`t say much about Obama, but if, indeed Rahm Emmanuel`s father was in Etzel way back when, he "knows" the name Natanyahu, that is, Binyamin N`s father. It is highly possible that Bibi was a YAFer, as in Young Americans for Freedom, the college Neocon organization, in the seventies when he attended MIT, in the 1970`s, so Rahm Emmanuel`s point of view might be a little different, but both families have a "history" of Zionist activity, at least one generation back.
They both speak Hebrew, and grew up in the States, Bibi in Philly, Rahm in Chicago, though I gather that Natayahu attended a public high school in one of posh `burbs. Nonetheless, it`s clear that Ben-Zion, his father wouldn`t have neglected his "Jewish education". So when they do meet, as they will even "if" . . ., its a kind of Old Home Week, with Emmanuel meeting a descendant of the important people of "those days".
