A very white boy from the south was the first black president because he empathised with african americans and spoke their language. Despite (or maybe because of) this he was also the first democrat to talk to the black community about individual responsibility and getting beyond the welfare mentality. I suspect Obama will have a similar relationship with Israel. "We love you but you need to change". Bush was Israel`s Jesse Jackson, Obama will be their Clinton.
