Yet another attempt by Peres to breathe some life into a dead peace process.
Read the article again. Notice that the word "Palestinian" only appears once. Here it is:
"A comprehensive regional peace requires the completion of the bilateral negotiations with the Palestinians and sharing the painful cost," he said.
And gosh golly darn gee whiz, aren`t the Palestinians ruled by Hamas, their democratically elected government whose policy is to NEVER make peace with Israel? And isn`t President Abbas about to leave office? To be replaced by whom? Somebody even less effective?
The Arab peace plan is worthless, because it does not involve the Palestinians.
Neither the Saudis nor the Arab League are about to bully Hamas into negotiating. They can`t, because Hamas keeps saying over and over they don`t want peace. Their Arab brothers aren`t listening.
So this entire exercise is just a lot of hot air. |
