You`re right. When I first found out about this obnoxious and presumptious practice, I was enraged...seeing a door marked "Baptism Of The Dead" in the Mormon hall was certainly a shock. But after a while, I realised...their ceremony is meaningless, so why should we be upset?
They can baptise a white mouse with a dead person`s name; it`s not going to affect the dead person in the least.
