| Israels right wingers, certainly more than half the nation, think that because they have always had their way in the past, that they will always get their way in the future. Olmert knows better. Livni knows better. Even Bibi knows better. Someone has to break it to those Israelis who don`t know any better. The world is no longer a place in which Israels "disporportionate response" is a thing to be silently tolerated. The thought of international sanctions against Israel is a real possibility. The key to everything is the west bank settlements. Israel will have to withdraw at some point. This is not in question. The only questions are, when will it happen, and (for Israel only) How difficult will it be. |
