The practice the Mormons have of arbitrarily baptising dead people (obtaining death records and having one of their members "stand in" as proxy for the person) is the height of arrogance, and not just the Jews but everyone has a right to tell the Mormons to cease this intrusive action.
Actually the process is meaningless, but it is extremely offensive when a person first finds out what they do. In London a friend of mine was baptised as a Mormon and we all went to the Mormon temple to watch. I saw another door in their building marked "Baptism of the Dead". I immediately found out what this means...and not from the Mormons present on that occasion, either. They don`t like to talk about it and won`t mention it when going "door to door" on their crusading missions. |
