Oslo was a great idea. But it was derailed by right wing elements that kept trying to block it. At the end, Oslo became a disaster but not because the Palestinians saw it as a green light to kill but because the right wingers derailed it and so everything that was supposed to be for the good of the Palestinians turned against us.
