| It depends, I guess, on what one views as the `supreme Zionist interest.` For a person my age that is a safe, secure and thriving Jewish state. The frosting on the cake is that it is in the traditional region. For a younger person, or a true fanatic of my age, the `supreme interest` seems to often be Israel Everywhere. Or at least in parts of several near by nations and the regions largely inhabited by Palestinians. Mr. Perez is the last active member of the founding generation. A national fossil if you will, and as such perhaps he shares the view that all that is lacking now isn`t a Jewish state, but a safe and secure Jewish state. And as long as the Palestinians do not have a safe and secure Palestine. . . |
