Here is a workable Plan to consider:
1. Hamas and PA folks kiss and make up. After all, if they cannot even get along with each other, there is no expectation of ever getting along with any other group.
2. All the Palestinians move from the WB to Gaza. To accommodate the larger population, the borders of Gaza would be pushed back into the Negev a few miles. This would make Palestine contiguous, which is a practical necessity.
3. Palestine can call itself a state, or not. I have never understood what this point is all about anyway.
4. Helpful Hints: The new Palestine should not fire rockets into nearby Israeli towns. People should cut down on cigarette smoking for health reasons. Revenue should directed first toward infrastructure, of which the most important is water conservation and desalination. Education should concentrate on useful subjects such as reading, writing, science, math. Children should not be exposed to teachings of hate. History should be objective. |
