With all due respect, Obama is not something out of the usual stand of what we call "the American mainstream". He is not only Black, he is also White (more for his policies than the fact his mother is White), but the Tel Aviv reality (by the way Shavit, you are so provincial you don`t even know much about Paris, London, Toronto, San Francisco or Vancouver, they are as full of the mosaic style of living which is missing in Tel Aviv0 is anachronistic to the Israel reality. While France has Lyon, Marseilles and Bordeaux, England ha Leeds, Manchester and other Centers for Arts and creativity, Tel Aviv has no such a depth, Haifa and Jerusalem are as much of a Rishon Letzion as they come.
You don`t want a collection of one type of people in Tel Aviv with Dov, or "Ir Lekulanou. You do need a Mayor that will represent the diff. Tribes. |
