When i was in 2001 in Greece and we told the Greek in the street we were from israel the reaction was in general very negative in spite of the fact that i am a dutch jew and my wife an american jew. already then we knew that there was not much difference between people pretending to be `critial` of israel and those who do not hide their anti semitism.
greece was and is and will always be the cradle of anti semitism. their cultural arrogance prevents them from accepting that judaism survived while helenism disappeared. |
