| For the past three decades, Israel has been pouring settlers into the west bank. The intention was to make it a physical impossibility to absorb all these settlers back into Israel in order to make way for a Palestinian state. Now, with some minor brushes between the IDF and the settlers, Israel attempts to make a case that this goal has been achieved and that the settlements cannot be evacuated. This is the one true thing that Obama knows. For three decades, Israel has been working hard against peace. The question is, will Obama walk away from this mess or will he make the hard choices and tell Israel that he will not let a bunch of greedy, racist settlers force the world into war. |
