| The U.S. policy toward Israel will remain unchanged. Both republicans and democrats advocate the pursuit negotiations. There is no difference. The U.S. will continue to support Israel with some criticisms. These criticisms have been the same for all American presidents. For example: Ford - a republican criticized Israel for not moving on peace with Egypt. Reagan a republican sold AWACS to Saudi Arabia contrary to Israel`s wishes and criticized Israel for bombing the Iraqi nuclear facility. Bush I a republican wanted to withhold loan guarantees because of Israeli settlements. And Condoleeza Rice has been making demands on Israel. These are all republicans. So considering the past Israel has less to worry about with a democrat in office. If there is criticism Israel can withstand it because support of Israel is an unchanging policy. |
