| This museum of tolerance sounds like such a bad idea on so many levels - 1) It`s built on a Muslim cemetery which doesn`t seem terribly tolerant. 2) It`s in Jerusalem, sacred to three large, and often not very tolerant, religions. 3) It`s in the centre of an area at the heart of a gigantic and intolerant political struggle 4) Tolerance is like kindness. It`s a huge, warm living human thing. You can`t case it in glass and stick it in a museum. 5) Because of 4, it sounds REALLY, REALLY boring. I love museums, but a museum of tolerance just sounds about the most boring thing ever - a place only visited by reluctant groups of schookids dragged there. |
