Please, it is very dangerous to play the fool and the naive.
Since I love the Golan so much, here is a suggestion for a win-win solution to end the conflict for all involved, the present Israelis and future Syrian inhabitants of the Golan Heights.
A. Do not give up the Golan Heights outright. Go one step at the Time.
B. Keep the status quo with its present Jewish inhabitants. Allow an equal number of Syrians and Druze to cooperatively inhabit the plateau. It will be a MODEL for a healthy and peaceful coexistence that can be emulated by other clashing cultures throughout the world so that they to can live in peace with each other.
C. World peace can be achieved by negotiating land contentions one square mile at the time. |
