| I can understand saying that Israelis living in the Golan are doing so against international law. That would be a factually accurate statement. But to say that they are thieves is not only an inflammatory statement but inaccurate. Syria for many years used the Golan to harass and attack Israelis living in what the international community considers Israeli territory. On top of that it used the territory to start wars both in 1948 and 1967 it was also the site of a war in 1973. Israel took the Golan in order to defend its citizens, if I take a knife from someone trying to stab me it is called self defense. Why is it any different in this case? |
