| The irony of Syria expelling the American School founded by John Foster Dulles is immense. John Foster Dulles was the last American Secretary of State to see his offices treated as the most important in the Cabinet. He was the last Secretary of State to direct US foreign policy. He was the last to have an even-handed policy towards Arab nations. And, the last to openly stand up to Israel. Now the Secretary of State is just a `fill it with a token minority` position, with no influence or power what so ever. Now, the school founded by Dulles falls in the Diplomatic Offensive Syria is waging in response to an attack by the United States of War. |
