The ancients knew lots of stuff that we are only beginning to rediscover. That it was here and there, and anywhere else that people lived at some point in time in the very distant past is no surprise.
It simply states that the nineteenth century proposition that everything before it was iggorant and unschooled is so much nonsense. Our prejudice to anything that wasn`t "ours" made us blind to what existed before us. |
