| If you speak with Palestinians trying to live their lives under the official Hafrada polities of the government of Israel, you know that their concerns about settler violence are not taken seriously. In the United States, African Americans faced similar problems where our government did not take their legitimate concerns seriously and made the same denials of white violence. You need only watch the videos on YouTube, if you haven`t traveled to the West Bank as I have, to see the virulent attacks by settlers that go on every day. You can believe that that 92% of the claims are not true, but you would be fooling yourself. What reason would Paletinians have for making up stories of attacks, for damaging their own fields or killing their own livestock? How many international observers have to be beaten or attacked themselves for you "deniers" to look the other way? The settlers are outlaws and criminals, but it is the underlying policies of the Israeli government that is the cause. |
